HISTORY

Established in 1997 as a ministry of the Halifax United Methodist Church, the Halifax Youth Center was envisioned as a center where youth could gather for social & recreational activities. Soon other elements were added, such as mentoring, tutoring, bible studies, study hall, and computer  accessibilities.

 

Since its inception, over 3,000 youth have utilized the Center and 35 volunteer mentors have served.  100% of the financial support comes from donations and grants
